One of the largest holiday events in the country… An amazing opportunity to shine the light of Christ.

The 9NEWS Parade of Lights is a magical nighttime event in Downtown Denver, featuring more than 40 units including extravagantly illuminated floats, giant character balloons, magnificent marching bands, traditional equestrian units and vibrant cultural entries. For the past 15 years, Faith Bible Chapel has hosted the only faith-based element in this celebration that is hailed as one of the largest light parades in the country. While FBC has lovingly paved the way to keep Christ in to this Christmas celebration for over a decade, they’ve now passed the baton onto Confluence Ministries, a Denver-based non-profit known as a catalyst for collaboration. Confluence Ministries exists to bring redemptive change through transformational connections. They unite diverse people and faith communities for positive impact, which is exactly what they hope to do at this year’s Parade of Lights. Christening this year’s float as a “Reflection of Faith”, their hope is to create an opportunity for many voices in the Denver faith community to unite in one beautiful illumination, reflecting the powerful, life-changing love of Christ.

Every year, more than 500 volunteers make Parade of Lights happen… and over 50 of them make the “Reflection of Faith” float a reality! We’d love to have you among that team of people making a difference this holiday season. Volunteer positions for 2019 include: costumed actors, musicians, equestrian handlers, float managers, parade production assistance and more.
